Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English Premier League, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals and cards.

Two clubs separated by three points in the Premier League table meet at the Gtech Community Stadium tomorrow evening as mid-table pair Brentford and Wolves face off in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Thomas Frank’s hosts have scored 24 goals across their opening 17 Premier League matches, with 16 (67%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Bees have only failed to score at home in the league against Arsenal this term – scoring on multiple occasions in 5/9 (56%) – and will be confident of finding the target once more at home against a Wolves defence that has registered just two clean sheets in the Premier League this season, with both of them coming against two of the bottom four.
Gary O’Neil’s visitors have scored 23 goals across their opening 18 Premier League matches this term, with 10 (52%) of them coming on home soil. The Old Gold have made the net bulge in 16 of their previous 17 Premier League outings – including in all eight against bottom-half sides – and will look to breach a Brentford backline whose only Premier League shutout at home this campaign came against Burnley, with The Bees shipping multiple goals in 5/9 (56%) of them.

Brentford’s opening nine Premier League fixtures on home soil this season are averaging 3.33 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score clicking in seven (78%) of them – and given the same has landed in 14 of Wolves’ previous 17 Premier League contests- I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides finding the target in West London tomorrow evening.
To nudge up the price, I’m happy to throw in the visitors to be shown a card. Wolves have been carded in 17/18 (94%) of their Premier League contests, including in all nine (100%) away from home, whilst the hosts have drawn a card from all bar one of their 17 Premier League opponents.
