After returning to winning ways in Sweden on Friday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English National League, and one fixture in particular appeals to me for goals.

Chesterfield will look to strengthen their position at the top of the National League table as they welcome mid-table Wealdstone to the SMH Group Stadium in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Paul Cook’s hosts are the leading scorers in the National League, banging in 26 goals across their opening 10 matches, with 14 (54%) of them coming on home soil. The Spireites are one of two sides in the division to have found the back of the net in all 10 of their league contests this season – striking on multiple occasions in seven (70%) of them – and it would be a major surprise if they failed to get on the scoresheet against a Wealdstone defence that has registered only two clean sheets this term, shipping two or more goals in five of their previous seven.
Stuart Maynard’s visitors have scored 11 goals across their opening 10 National League fixtures this term, with four (36%) of them coming on their travels. The Stones have found the back of the net in 7/10 (70%) of their league contests – including in each of their previous four on the road – and I’m hoping they’ll be able to breach a Chesterfield defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this season, shipping a total of 17 goals.

Chesterfield’s National League fixtures this season are averaging an eye-watering 4.30 Goals Per Game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals having clicked in 8/10 (80%) of them – and given the same has landed in five of Wealdstone’s previous seven league tussles, including each of their last three on the road – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three goals with both teams contributing in Derbyshire tomorrow afternoon.
