Friday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the Dutch second tier. I’ve picked a couple of selections which I like the look of to give us a nice odds against double.
PSV II vs Top Oss

Mid table PSV II host a struggling Top Oss side at the Sportcomplex De Herdgang. PSV II currently sit in 12th spot, only two points outside the playoff zone. The visitors, meanwhile, sit second from bottom in the table.
PSV II come into this after securing back to back wins, with them scoring seven goals in the process. In fact, PSV II have been in fine scoring form in the last few weeks, scoring 13 goals in their last five games, scoring 2+ in all of them. At home, they’ve been scoring plenty this season, scoring 12 goals in their last six, scoring on multiple occasions in five of them.
Top Oss started the season well, winning three of their first four matches. However, they’ve not won since then, losing eight of their last nine fixtures. They’ve lost their last seven matches on the bounce, and in each of their last nine fixtures, they’ve conceded on multiple occasions in every single one. In those last nine matches, Top Oss have conceded a total of 23 goals.
VVV Venlo vs Ajax II

Mid table VVV Venlo host entertaining Ajax II at the Covebo Stadion. VVV lie in 13th position but are only three points outside of the the playoff places. Ajax II on the other hand sit in 5th position, only four points off De Graafschap in 2nd.
VVV have been on a sticky run of form recently and have slipped down the table due to them losing their last three matches. VVV do perform better at home, posting a W4 D2 L1 record, with three of those wins coming in their last four. VVV have only failed to score once in their seven home games, and have scored 10 of their 14 goals at home. VVV have only kept three clean sheets in 13 games this season though, conceding on 17 occasions.
Ajax II come into this in pretty good nick, winning three of their last four games and six of their last eight, losing just once. Ajax II are the league second highest scorers, scoring 30 goals in their opening 13 matches. Since failing to score in the opening week of the season, Ajax II have since scored in their last 12 matches. Clean sheets have been hard to come for the Ajax youngsters, keeping just one this season. Only five sides positioned in the bottom six have conceded more goals than Ajax II, with them conceding 23 times.
Bet of the Day
Two sides in contrasting form meet in Eindhoven, with PSV II scoring for fun in recent weeks and Top Oss collecting just a solitary point from their last nine matches, conceding 23 goals in the process. PSV II have scored 13 goals in their last five matches, and I’m expecting to score at least another two against a Top Oss side on a horror run of form. Once again this season Ajax II have proved to be an entertaining watch, with their games being full of goals. Only league leaders Volendam have scored more than them in the league, but they’ve kept just one clean sheet in their 13 matches and with VVV doing their best work at home, should at least net and that should lead us to both sides scoring.
