Forest Green will look to take another step to the League Two title, as they host Rochdale at The New Lawn. The hosts are currently 10 points clear of second-placed Tranmere Rovers, despite playing a game fewer. The visitors. on the other hand, are 18th, just eight points above the relegation zone.
Forest Green collected another there points last Saturday, as they defeated fellow promotion hopefuls Newport County 2-0 at the New Lawn. Rob Edwards side have now gone 17 games unbeaten in League Two, winning 11 of them. At home, Rovers have won seven of their eight fixtures in League Two, scoring 16 goals and conceding just once. In fact, Forest Green have conceded just nine goals in their 14 matches at home so far this season, keeping a clean sheet in each of their last seven. Rovers are also the top scorers in League Two, but just 25 of their 58 goals have came on home turf.
Rochdale drew 1-1 away too fellow strugglers Colchester United last time out, meaning they’ve drawn each of their last three in League Two. Robbie Stockdale’s side have won just once in the league since November, a run of 11 matches. Rochdale have also struggled on their travels in recent months, winning just one of their last 11, including losing three of their last five. The Dale have kept just three clean sheets on their travels this season and have scored just eight goals in their last 10 league games away from Spotland, failing to score in half of them.

Forest Green have been the best team in League Two this season by far and come into this unbeaten in their last 17. Rob Edwards side have won seven of their last eight at The New Lawn and should collect all three points against a Rochdale side that’s won just one of their last 11 matches in League Two. Rovers have the second-best defence in League Two and have shut out their opponents in each of their last seven at home and with Rochdale scoring just eight goals in their last 10 on the road, I’m happy to throw in under five match goals alongside a home win.
