Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match in the Scottish Championship, and I’m expecting to see goals between the two highest scoring sides in the division.

Partick Thistle will look regain top spot in the Scottish Championship ad they travel to Ayrshire to take on fourth-placed Ayr United at Somerset Park in a fixture I’m anticipating goals in.
Ayr were left frustrated on Saturday afternoon as they threw away the lead twice to draw 2-2 at home to newly-promoted Cove Rangers. That’s now just one win in their previous five for Lee Bullen’s men, but only current league leaders Inverness have left Somerset Park this season with all three points. The Honest Men have found the back of the net in nine of their previous 10 league fixtures, scoring two or more in eight of those. Ayr have only registered one clean sheet in their last 10 league outings, conceding 15 times.
Partick were embarrassed at the weekend as they lost 0-4 at home to fellow Glasgow side Queen’s Park. That’s now two defeats in their previous three for The Jags, but they will know they can go two points clear with all three points. lan McCall’s side have found the back of the net in nine of their 11 Championship fixtures this season, scoring two or more in eight of those. Thistle have only managed one clean sheet in the league this season, with that coming away at second-from-bottom Arbroath.
Bet of the Day
Partick did miss a penalty to go a goal ahead in that defeat at the weekend and had scored in nine of their previous 10 league outings before that – scoring on multiple occasions in eight of them. lan McCall’s visitors should at least get on the scoresheet against a Ayr defence that’s registered just a solitary clean sheet from their last 10 league outing’s. Ayr have also found the back of the net in nine of their previous 10 in the league – scoring on multiple occasions in eight of those – and they too should be able to get on the scoresheet against a Jags defence that’s only clean sheet this season has came away at second bottom Arbroath.
Collectively, Over 2.5 Goals has landed in 17/22 of their Championship matches this season and given both teams records at either end of the pitch, I reckon we should see at least three strikes at Somerset Park tomorrow evening.
