Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League, and one of the two Champions League fixtures in particular appeals to me for goals.

Manchester City welcomes German giants Bayern Munich to the Etihad tomorrow evening in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Manchester City closed the gap to Arsenal to six points at the top of the Premier League table at the weekend as they defeated relegation-haunted Southampton at St Mary’s. Pep Guardiola’s men have once again turned the Etihad into a fortress this season, winning 19 of their 21 matches there in all competitions this season, including a 7-0 mauling of fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the previous round.
Bayern Munich maintained their two-point advantage at the top of the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon with a 0-1 victory away at Champions League hopefuls Freiburg. FC Hollywood still boasts a 100% record in the Champions League this season, including wins at Inter, Barcelona and most recently, perennial French champions PSG in the previous round.

To put it simply, we should see goals here. Manchester City have found the back of the net in all 21 of their competitive fixtures at home this season, scoring on multiple occasions in 18 (86%) of those.
Meanwhile, Bayern have found the back of the net in all bar one of their 35 Bundesliga and Champions League contests throughout this season, scoring two or more in 26 (74%) of those, and with neither team particularly tight at the back this season, I’m happy to have a punt on there to be three or more goals scored, with both contributing in what should be a thrilling affair.
