Following Saturday’s cracking winner in China, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head Fir Park, and the possibility of goals at both ends appeals to me.

After moving one step closer to a glamour tie with Aston Villa in the Conference League on Thursday night, Hibs return to league business tomorrow afternoon as they travel to North Lanarkshire to take on Motherwell at Fir Park in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Following a successful League Cup campaign in which they finished top of their group, Motherwell were forced to settle for a point in their Scottish Premiership opener, as despite taking the lead, drew 1-1 away at newly-promoted Dundee. After winning just one of their opening 11 Premiership matches in front of their supporters last season (W1-D3-L7), Stuart Kettlewell’s men finished the season by going on to winning six of their final eight (W6-D0-L2), scoring 16 goals in the process.
The Hibees began their Scottish Premiership campaign with a disappointing defeat, as despite coming from two goals down, conceded late on to lose 2-3 at home to St Mirren. However, it’s not been all doom and gloom for Lee Johnson’s entertainers, as following a 7-3 aggregate success over Andorran minnows Inter Club d’Escaldes, they defeated Swiss side FC Luzern 3-1 in the first leg of their third-round Conference League tie at Easter Road to land Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day, taking their goal-tally to 12 after just four matches.

Both Teams to Score has banked in 10 of Hibernian’s previous 14 Scottish Premiership matches on the road, as well as in each of their opening four competitive fixtures this season – and given both have obliged in 10 of The Well’s previous 15 league encounters on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides finding the target in North Lanarkshire tomorrow afternoon.
