Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the final fixture of Matchday 22 in MLS, and I’ve come up with a bet builder featuring goals and cards.

Two of the most entertaining sides in MLS this season go head-to-head at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium tomorrow evening as Atlanta United take on the Philadelphia Union in what should be a cracking affair.
Gonzalo Pineda’s hosts are the joint-second highest scorers in the entire MLS, scoring 37 goals across their opening 20 matches, with 24 (65%) of those coming on home soil. The Five Stripes have made the net bulge in all 10 of their MLS encounters as hosts – bagging two or more goals in seven (70%) of them – and will look to trouble a Union defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet from their nine MLS road trips.
Jim Curtin’s visitors are the fourth-highest scorers in the entire MLS this campaign, bagging 34 goals across their opening 19 matches, with 13 (38%) of them coming on their travels. The Union have found the back of the net in 11 of their previous 12 MLS contests – scoring at least twice in eight (67%) of those matches in that run – and will look to breach an Atlanta defence that has registered just four clean sheets and conceded a joint-league high 35 goals across their opening 20 MLS assignments.

Both Teams to Score has banked in a league-high 15/20 (75%) of Atlanta United’s MLS fixtures this term – and given both have obliged in six of The Union’s last eight league outings on their travels – I expect both of these high-scoring sides to find the target.
