Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Dutch Eerste Divisie, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

PEC Zwolle will look to strengthen their grip at the top of the Eerste Divisie table as they welcome seventh-placed NAC Breda to the MAC³PARK Stadion tomorrow evening in what promises to be an entertaining affair.
PEC Zwolle made it back-to-back wins away from home last time out, as they followed up their 2-3 success at Willem II by winning 0-2 at De Graafschap. After winning just three of their opening seven Eerste Divisie fixtures at home, Dick Schreuder’s men have gone on to win each of their next seven – including a 13-0 mauling of lowly Den Bosch. PEC Zwolle are the leading scorers in the division, scoring 79 goals – with 45 of those coming across their 14 fixtures as hosts.
NAC Breda saw their three-match winning run come to an end on Monday evening as they were surprisingly thrashed 2-6 at home to struggling Jong Ajax. That was just Peter Hyballa’s visitors’ third defeat across their previous 11 league outings, with his side winning seven times in that run. NAC are the fifth-highest scorers in the Dutch second-tier, scoring 49 goals – with 22 of those strikes coming on their travels.
Bet of the Day
PEC Zwolle heads into this encounter in terrific form, and they should have more than enough firepower to trouble a NAC defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet on their travels this season. However, the table-toppers have registered just three clean sheets at home this season, and that will give hope to a Breda side that’s scored in all bar one of their away fixtures this campaign.
Collectively, Over 2.5 Goals has banked in 42/58 (72%) of the pair’s Eerste Divisie fixtures this season – and given both clubs have failed to score just three times through the whole campaign – I reckon there’s a good chance we’ll see at least three strikes in Zwolle tomorrow evening with both teams contributing.
