Following back-to-back winners in Argentina and Wales, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the goal-laden Dutch second tier, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two of the most entertaining sides in the Dutch Eerste Divisie this season go head-to-head at the Cambuur Stadion on Sunday afternoon as 11th-placed Cambuur entertain 14th-placed NAC Breda in a fixture that screams out goals.
Henk de Jong’s hosts are the second-highest scorers in the Eerste Divisie, finding the back of the net 21 times across their opening nine matches, with 13 (62%) of them coming on home soil. The Yellow-Blues have made the net bulge in all nine of their league contests this term – scoring two or more in seven (78%) of them – and they will be confident of adding to their goal-tally against a NAC defence still yet to register a clean sheet in the league this season, conceding on 18 occasions.
Peter Hyballa’s visitors have scored 15 goals across their opening nine matches in the Dutch second tier this term, with eight (53%) of them coming on their travels. Only the division’s stingiest defence, Eindhoven (4), have prevented NAC from scoring in the league this campaign – with them scoring multiple goals in four (44%) of their league outings – and they will be confident of finding the target once more against a Cambuur defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet this season, with only Jong Ajax (24) conceding more than their tally of 21.

Cambuur’s opening nine Eerste Divisie fixtures this campaign are averaging a staggering 4.67 goals per game, with Over 3.5 Goals banking in a league-high seven (78%) of them – and given there have been a minimum of four goals in 6/9 (67%) of NAC Breda’s league outings this season – I’m more than happy to have a punt on there to be at least four goals in Leeuwarden on Sunday afternoon in what promises to be a highly entertaining encounter.
