Looking to return to winning ways after a disappointing few days, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the goal-laden Dutch second tier, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated only by goal difference in the Eerste Divisie table meet at the Rat Verlegh Stadion tomorrow evening as 10th-placed NAC Breda entertain 8th-placed Helmond Sport in what promises to be a high-scoring affair.
Peter Hyballa’s hosts are the fourth-highest scorers in the Dutch second tier, banging in 21 goals across their opening 11 matches, with 10 (48%) of them coming at home. The Breda-based club have only failed to score away at the division’s second-meanest defence, Eindhoven (9), this season – scoring on multiple occasions in six (55%) of them – and they will be confident in breaching a Helmond defence that’s has kept just one clean and conceded nine goals across their opening five road trips this term.
Bob Peeters’ hosts have scored 19 goals across their opening 11 Eerste Divisie fixtures this term, with nine (47%) of them coming on their travels. The Kattenmeppers are one of two clubs in the division to have found the back of the net in all 11 matches – scoring two or more in three of their previous four – and they will be confident of breaching an NAC backline that is one of three sides in the Dutch second tier yet to register a clean sheet this season.

NAC Breda’s opening 11 matches in the Eerste Divisie this season are averaging an impressive 3.82 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals clicking in nine (82%) of them – and given the same has landed in 4/5 (80%) of Helmond Sport’s away matches in the league this term – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three strikes in Breda tomorrow evening, with both of these high-scoring sides finding the target.
