Monday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve into Serie A and there’s match between two sides in which I’m expecting goals at both ends, as well as a few cards.

Fiorentina will look to keep their European hopes alive, as they travel to the Marsssi to take on Sampdoria. The visitors come into this in eight position, just three points off fifth-placed Lazio, whilst the hosts survival was confirmed following defeats for both Cagliari and city-rivals Genoa yesterday.
Sampdoria lost for the 12th time this calendar year, as they were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Lazio at the Olimpico last time out. Marco Giampaolo’s side did win in their last fixture at home, as they defeated city-rivals Genoa 1-0, meaning Samp have won three of their last six at the Marassi. Sampdoria have found the back of the net in 15/18 of their home fixtures this season, with José Mourinho’s Roma being the only side to stop Samp from scoring at home in their last 15. Fiorentina put an end to their three-match losing streak last time out, as they won 2-0 at home to top-six rivals Roma. Vincenzo Italiano’s side have struggled on their travels this season and come into this having won just two of their last nine away from home (W2-D3-L4). Fiorentina have recorded just one clean sheet away from home all season, with that coming in Udine at the end of September, meaning they’ve conceded in each of their last 14 away days. The Viola have found the back of the net in 29/36 of their Serie A matches this season and have scored in nine of their last 11 away from home. Fiorentina have been carded in 33/36 of their league matches this season, including in all 18 away, receiving multiple cards in 14 of them.
Bet of the Day
Fiorentina know they can jump into sixth-place with a win but come into this having only won two of their last nine away and they come up against a Sampdoria side that’s won three of their last six at home. Marco Giampaolo’s side have scored in 14 of their last 15 at the Marassi and I expect them to net against a Fiorentina side that’s recorded just one clean sheet away from home all season. However, Samp are yet to record a clean sheet against any of the current sides in the top-half and given The Viola have scored in nine of their last 11 away, I expect them also to get on the scoresheet. The hosts have been carded in 34/36 of their league matches this season, earning multiple cards in 30 of them, whilst the visitors have been carded in all 18 fixtures away from home this season, earning multiple cards in 14 of them. Therefore, I’m happy to add in both sides to receive a card, and for there to be four or more in the match.
