After making it six successive winners in Bologna last night, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the lower leagues in Scotland, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

After failing to score in four of their opening six games, The Bully Wee have made the net bulge in nine of their next 11 league contests – scoring on multiple occasions in five (56%) of them in that run – and will look to trouble a Bonnyrigg backline that has recorded just two clean sheets in the league all season, conceding 26 goals.
Robbie Horn’s visitors have scored 26 goals across their opening 17 matches in League Two this term, with 11 (42%) of them coming on their travels. The Rose have made the net bulge in 12 (71%) of their league outings – scoring on multiple occasions in seven (41%) of them, including in 6/10 (60%) against teams below them in the table – and will be confident of breaching a Clyde defence who have registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this season, conceding a joint league-high 35 goals.

Clyde’s opening 17 matches in League Two this season are averaging 3.12 goals per game, with 10 of their previous 11 featuring three or more goals, including in seven of their last eight at home – and given Over 2.5 Goals has clicked in six of Bonnyrigg Rose’s previous eight league matches on the road – I’m happy to have a punt on us seeing at least three when the pair face off in South Lanarkshire on Saturday afternoon.
