Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Chinese top flight, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated by one place and five points in the Chinese Super League meet at the Nanling Stadium tomorrow lunchtime as 8th-placed Changchun Yatai plays host to 9th-placed Zhejiang in a fixture that looks primed for goals.
Changchun Yatai are the joint-highest scorers in the Chinese top flight this term, scoring 28 goals across their opening 15 matches, with 14 (50%) of those coming on home soil. Only the top two have stopped Chen Yang’s hosts from scoring in the league this season – scoring two or more goals in 8/15 (53%) of them – and they should be more than capable of breaching a Zhejiang defence that’s registered just three clean sheets this campaign, shipping multiple goals in 6/8 (75%) of their meetings with top-half sides.
Jordi Vinyals’ visitors have scored 21 goals across their opening 15 Chinese Super League fixtures this term, with 11 (52%) of those coming on their travels. After failing to score in three of their opening five matches, The Green Giants have found the back of the net in nine of their previous 10 league outings – striking on multiple occasions in seven (70%) of them – and will look to trouble a Changchun Yatai side that has registered just two clean sheets across their previous 14 league assignments and who boasts the joint-second worst defence, shipping 27 goals.

Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has banked in a league-best 7/8 (88%) of Zhejiang’s Chinese Super League fixtures on the road this season – and given the same has landed in eight of Changchun Yatai’s previous 10 league contests – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be a minimum of three goals with both teams contributing in this one.
