Tuesdays Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus firstly on a critical Champions League qualifier which looks good for goals. Then to the Faroes for a domestic game which also looks good for goals.
HJK Helsinki vs Malmö
🇪🇺 UEFA Champions League
⏰ Tuesday 27th July, 17:00
Helsinki host Malmö at the Bolt Arena in a critical second leg. Malmö currently hold a 2-1 advantage from the first leg but both sides will fancy their chances of qualifying and facing Scottish champions Rangers in the next round.
After losing the first leg, Helsinki got back to winning ways domestically with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Haka. Helsinki are on course to win another title as they sit six points clear after thirteen games. Domestically Helsinki have won all six games at the Bolt Arena in which they’ve scored 15 goals (2.5 per match). Helsinki defeated Budućnost in the previous round 7-1 on aggregate including a 3-1 win at home.
After winning the first leg, Malmö got another three points by winning 0-2 away to Mjällby to stay two points clear at the top, however they have played a game more. Domestically, Malmö have scored in all thirteen games scoring 31 goals with 15 of those coming in their seven away games (2.14 per match). In the last round Malmö secured a 2-1 victory over Riga on aggregate including a 1-1 draw in Latvia.
Víkingur Gøta vs NSÍ Runavík
🇫🇴 Premier League
⏰ Tuesday 27th July, 19:00
Víkingur Gøta host NSÍ Runavík at Stadium Sarpugeroi on Tuesday evening. The hosts currently sit in 2nd while visitors NSÍ sit four points behind their opponents in 4th.
Víkingur come into this in great form winning their last four games on the bounce. Víkingur have only failed to score once this season and that was way back to the second game of the season. At home Víkingur have scored in all six games scoring 14 times (2.33 per match). Víkingur have conceded in ten of their fourteen games with both their clean sheets at home coming against bottom placed TB who are the leagues lowest goal scorers.
NSÍ come into this after securing back to back wins against 07 Vestur and B68 in which they scored four goals in both games. NSÍ have only failed to score three times this season and two of those came against runaway league leaders KÍ who have the best defensive record in the league. NSÍ have scored 30 goals in their 15 games with 11 of those goals coming in their six away games (1.83 per match). NSÍ have only kept one clean sheet on the road and that came against bottom side TB.
Bet of the Day
Both Helsinki and Malmö have been in sensational scoring form this season and I can see both sides netting like they did in Sweden. Helsinki need to score at least once whereas I can’t see Malmö sitting for a 0-0 and may need to score at least once themselves. In the Faroes both Víkingur and NSÍ regularly score goals but struggle for clean sheets, both should net here.
