Monday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on two sides that are at home and who I fancy to collect all three points. Combining both matches gives us a nice odds against double.
Ludogorets vs Pirin Blagoevgrad
🇧🇬 First League
⏰ Monday 13th December, 14:30
Ludogorets will look to extend their lead at the top as they play host to strugglers Pirin at the Huvepharma Arena. The current champions are six points ahead of CSKA Sofia, whereas the visitors are second from bottom.
Ludogorets made it three wins on the bounce in the league last time out as they won 2-4 away to 12th placed Lokomotiv Sofia 1929. The champions still have a perfect record at home domestically, with them winning all nine of their fixtures. Ludogorets are the leagues highest scorers by a distance, scoring 43 goals in their their opening 16 matches. In their 13 league victories this season, Ludogorets have scored at least twice, with them scoring three or more in 10 of them.
Pirin scored in stoppage time last out to salvage a point against CSKA Sofia. Whilst that draw may have ended a two game losing streak, it’s no wins in five and just one win in their last eight. Pirin have the joint worst away record in the division, collecting just two points from their nine matches. The visitors also have the joint worst defensive record in the division, conceding 32 goals in their 16 matches and have conceded on multiple occasions in eight of their 11 defeats.
Maccabi Haifa vs Beitar Jerusalem
🇮🇱 Premier League
⏰ Monday 13th December, 18:45
Maccabi Haifa will look to close the gap at the top as they play host to a struggling Beitar Jerusalem. The hosts are currently five points behind league leaders Hapoel Be’er Sheva, while the visitors are in 12th, two points above the bottom placed side.
Maccabi Haifa made it four wins on the bounce domestically last time out as they defeated Hapoel Nazareth Illit 0-4 away from. In fact, Maccabi Haifa have taken 19 points from their last seven games, scoring an incredible 24 goals. Maccabi Haifa have won five out of six at home so far this season, with their sole defeat coming against Hapoel Be’er Sheva. No side has a better goal scoring record than Maccabi Haifa in Israel, with them netting 30 goals in their opening 12 matches.
It’s now back to back defeats for Beitar Jerusalem as they were defeated 1-2 by Maccabi Tel Aviv last time out. It’s also just one win in their last five, with them losing three of them. Both of Beitar Jerusalem’s victories on the road this season have came against the only two sides below them in the league, with them losing the other four without even scoring. The visitors have failed to score in half of their 12 matches this season, with them also keeping just three clean sheets.
Bet of the Day
Perennial league champions Ludogorets are top of the table once more and will look to extend their lead to nine points at home to a struggling Pirin side. Ludogorets have won each of their last three in the league, scoring 10 goals and still boast an 100% record at home. Their opponents Pirin have collected just two points out of a possible 27 on the road and have the league’s joint worst defence. Given both sides recent form and league positions, Ludogorets should prove far too strong for their opponents and I’m expecting a convincing home win. Maccabi Haifa are the form team in Israel, unbeaten in their last seven in the league, winning six and I’m expecting them to extend that run against their struggling opponents. Beitar Jerusalem have lost back to back matches and given the current form the hosts are in, I’m predicting the leagues top scorers to collect all three points and score at least twice, something they’ve achieved in all eight of their league victories so far.
- Ludogorets to Win & Over 1.5 Goals
- Maccabi Haifa to Win & Over 1.5 Goals
- Double Pays 51/50 (Unibet)
