Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me stay in the EFL once again, and there is one team in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Sunderland will look to continue their impressive run of form as they welcome struggling Watford to the Stadium of Light tomorrow evening.
Sunderland bounced back from their late defeat at home to 6th-placed Cardiff City by recording a comfortable 0-3 victory away at crisis club Sheffield Wednesday last Friday night. After losing each of their opening two Championship fixtures of the season at home to Ipswich (2nd) and away at Preston (3rd), Tony Mowbray’s hosts have gone on to win five of their next seven (W5-D1-L1) matches to move them into 4th position in the table.
It has been a tough start to the campaign for Watford, with Valérien Ismaël’s visitors having collected just nine points from their opening nine Championship matches (W2-D3-L4) to leave them in 20th position, a solitary point outside the relegation zone. What will be even more concerning for The Hornets is just two of those matches have coming against the current top 10 in the Championship table, and none against clubs positioned in 7th and above.
Bet of the Day
Only Norwich (19) have scored more goals in the Championship this season than Sunderland, with The Black Cats having scored 18 goals across their opening nine league assignments, with 14 (78%) of them coming across their last five matches. Tony Mowbray’s hosts have struck on multiple occasions in five of their previous seven league contests – including in 4/5 (80%) against bottom-half sides – and I’m backing them to bag another double at home to a Watford defence that has shipped a minimum of two goals in four of their previous five Championship matches.
