Two of the leagues highest scoring sides meet at the Kras Stadion as Volendam host Almere. The hosts currently lie in 2nd and a point behind Excelsior. Almere lie in 14th but can go within three points of their opponents with a win.
Volendam come into this in good form with them unbeaten in their last six and winning four of their last five. Volendam have been prolific in front of goal this season, with them scoring in all eight games and scoring 2+ in six of them. They are also the leagues joint top goalscorers with Ajax II, scoring 19 times. Volendam do concede goals though, with them only keeping two clean sheets so far. Overall, they’ve conceded 11 times, with five of those coming in their last three matches. Seven of Volendam’s eight matches have seen at least three goals.
Almere come into this winless in their last three matches. Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for them however, along with opponents Volendam, have scored in every game (only two sides to do so). Only four sides have scored more goals than Almere in the league, with them scoring 15 times. Almere do struggle to keep clean sheets though with them only shutting their opponents out once. Almere have the 4th worst defence in the division, with them conceding 15 goals. Six of their eight games have saw a minimum of three goals.
Köln vs Greuther Fürth

Köln host struggling Greuther Fürth at the RheinEnergie Stadion to kick off matchday 7 in the Bundesliga. Köln sit a point and a place outside the European places in 7th, whereas Greuther Fürth are rock bottom.
Köln come into this unbeaten in their last four games, drawing their last three. Two of those draws have came on the road against Frankfurt and Freiburg, with their other draw coming at home to last years runners up RB Leipzig. Köln’s only defeat in the Bundesliga so far was a 3-2 defeat away to champions Bayern Munich. Köln are one of only four sides to score in all six matches, scoring a total of 10 goals, with six of those coming at home.
It’s been a desperate start to life in the Bundesliga for Greuther Fürth, with them collecting only a solitary point so far, which came against 16th placed Arminia Bielefeld. The biggest problem for Fürth is the amount of goals they are conceding. They’ve conceded in all six matches, with them conceding 2+ in five of them. Only Hertha Berlin (18) have conceded more goals than Fürth’s 16 in the Bundesliga.
Bet of the Day
Goals look a given between Volendam and Almere. They are two of the leagues top goalscorer’s and are the only two teams to score in every game. Both concede goals though, which should lead us to an open game in which we should see at least three goals. Köln have made a fairly impressive start to the season and should heap more misery on Greuther Fürth. The visitors concede too many goals and the Billy Goats should take advantage of Fürth’s leaky back line and score at least two goals.
