Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Belgian top-flight, and there’s one fixture in particular that stands out to me for goals.

Leuven will look to climb inside the playoff places as they welcome 14th-placed Eupen to Den Dreef in the early kickoff in Belgium on Tuesday.
Leuven claimed just their second league win from their previous nine league outings, as they defeated Westerlo 1-2 away from home last Friday night. Only four teams have scored more goals in the Belgian top-flight this season than Leuven, with Marc Brys’s hosts having scored 35 goals across their opening 20 league outings. However, Leuven have registered just five clean sheets in the league this season, with just three of those coming across their previous 18 league matches.
After collecting seven points from a possible nine before Christmas, Eupen kicked off 2023 with back-to-back home defeats against Charleroi and Sint-Truiden. Edward Still’s side have kept just four clean sheets in the league this season and possesses the division’s third-worst defence, shipping 42 goals across their opening 20 fixtures. However, The Pandas have found the back of the net in 9/10 of their away league matches this season, scoring on 15 occasions.
Bet of the Day
Leuven head into this fixture having found the back of the net in each of their previous six league matches, scoring 12 times and given Eupen have failed to score in just one of their 10 league fixtures on their travels this season, there’s a decent chance we’ll see both of these teams get on the scoresheet here.
Collectively, Over 2.5 goals has landed in 25/40 (63%) of the pair’s Pro League fixtures this season, and given either side’s records at both ends of the pitch, I’m hoping we see a similar scoreline to the 4-2 in the reverse fixture in the middle of last October.
