Two clubs who have had very different fortunes in Group A meet in Naples tomorrow evening, as perfect Napoli welcome pointless Rangers to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Napoli have been in absolutely scintillating form in Group A, with the Neapolitans having won each of their opening four group matches. Their 4-2 victory at home to Ajax booked their place in the knockout stages last time out, and Luciano Spalletti knows his side can clinch top spot with a win over a hapless Rangers. The Partenopei have scored a remarkable 17 goals across their four group matches, netting three or more goals in each of them.
Rangers have had a disastrous Champions League campaign so far, with last season’s Europa League runners-up losing each of their opening four group matches to leave them sitting rock-bottom in Group A. Despite a decent first-half showing where they went in level with Liverpool, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side capitulated in the second half and went on to lose 1-7. The Gers have now shipped an embarrassing total of 16 goals across their four group matches, conceding on multiple occasions in all four.

Two teams not only in contrasting form but heading in very different directions meet in Naples, and it’s hard not to envisage a comfortable win for the hosts. Luciano Spalletti’s side have won all four of their group matches so far and should claim top spot in Group A by defeating a Rangers side that’s lost all four of theirs.
Napoli have scored a remarkable 17 goals across their four group matches – netting three or more goals in each of them – and there’s a strong possibility they’ll make the net bulge at least three times against a Rangers defence that’s already shipped 16 goals across their previous four group-stage fixtures.
