Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the National League in England, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs who earned promotion from the National League South together last season meet at Meadowbank tomorrow evening as Dorking host Maidstone in a fixture that screams goals.
Dorking have found the back of the net in 19/23 of their league fixtures this season and are the fifth-highest scorers in the National League, finding the back of the net on 39 occasions. However, Marc White’s hosts have only registered two clean sheets in the league all season – and have the unwanted record of having the leakiest defence in the division, conceding 52 goals across their 23 league outings this season.
Maidstone have found the back of the net in 17/23 of their league outings this season and head into this fixture having scored 10 goals across their previous six matches. However, The Stones have plenty of defensive problems themselves, having registered just four clean sheets in the league season, as well as having the worst defensive record away from home in the English fifth-tier, letting in 32 goals across their 11 road trips.

Scoring goals hasn’t been an issue for these two sides this season, with the pair having found the back of the net in 36/46 of their combined league fixtures. However, they’ve kept just six clean sheets between them, and have the two worst defensive records in the National League, conceding 52 and 50 goals respectively.
Collectively, Over 2.5 goals has landed in 82% of the pair’s respective home/away fixtures this season, with over 3.5 goals landing in 64%. Therefore, I’m happy to have a play with the over 3.0 Asian goal line, meaning if there are exactly three goals, we recover our stake back, whilst four or more strikes will ensure we earn a full payout.
