Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the big match involving two of the European giants, and I’m expecting to see goals.

Two sides who made contrasting starts to their World Cup campaigns meet at the Al-Bayt Stadium tomorrow evening as Spain comes up against Germany in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
After eventually finishing above Sweden to top their group in World Cup Qualifying, Spain also won their Nations League group following a dramatic 0-1 victory over Portugal in late September. Luis Enrique’s side took that form into their group opener, as they recorded their biggest-ever World Cup win by thrashing Costa Rica 7-0.
Germany cruised through World Cup Qualifying despite a shock 1-2 home loss to North Macedonia, but they were far from convincing in the Nations League, winning just one of their six matches. It did appear that Die Mannschaft would make a winning start in Qatar, but two goals in the space of eight minutes saw them suffer a surprise defeat against Japan.

Germany have found the back of the net in 17 of their last 18 competitive fixtures – scoring an eye-catching 48 goals across those matches – and given their need to attack, I expect them to at least get on the scoresheet. However, the Germans have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their six Nations League fixtures in the lead-up to the World Cup – and conceded twice against Japan on Wednesday – and I can’t see them shutting out a La Roja attack that’s found the back of the net in each of their last 15 competitive matches.
Should Japan defeat Costa Rica tomorrow morning, Germany must win against Spain, or it’ll be back-to-back group-stage eliminations for Hansi Flick’s side. Given the game state, Germany will have to go for the win at some point, and that should open things up. Therefore, I’m more than happy to take the Over 2.75 Goal Line,meaning if there are exactly three goals, we receive a half-stakes winner, whilst if there are four or more goals we receive a full payout.
