The likes of Aston Villa, Chelsea, Leeds, Newcastle, Southampton, Watford and Wolves will play twice this week, but it is important players plan ahead for GWK30, where many teams will blank.
In GWK27, we used a free hit, and while it wasn’t a fantastic return, we still beat the average score.
Our team is not the best equipped for the double gameweek, but rather than panic and take transfer hits, we will hope for the best and hope our team can get the job done.
Goalkeeper – Aaron Ramsdale
The Gunners face Watford this week, and the Hornets are not known for their goalscoring exploits.
Arsenal, who are 33/20 to win to zero, are unbeaten in four matches in the top flight, while Watford’s home record is abysmal.
Roy Hodgson’s side have lost nine of their last ten at Vicarage Road, and they have failed to score in three of their previous four.
Defenders – Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joao Cancelo, Antonio Rudiger,
TAA remains part of our team due to his goalscoring exploits, while Liverpool’s home record is formidable ahead of the fixture against West Ham.
Cancelo faces Manchester United, and we fancy the Citizens to keep a clean sheet against the Red Devils. Chelsea have two cracking games this week, so it seems impossible to leave out Rudiger at this time.
Midfielders – James Maddison, Phil Foden, Mohamed Salah, Billy Gilmour
Maddison plays an unknown quantity in Leeds United under new coach Jesse Marsch, and he has scored 12 points in the last three gameweeks.
Gilmour is a desperate pick, but he does play twice, so it gives us hope he could rack up a few points at a crucial stage of the season. Foden was instrumental during City’s win over Everton, so he should be able to cause problems against United.
Last but not least, we have Salah, who skippers our team this weekend.
Salah, who is 10/13 to score anytime, looks like he will stay in every team until the end of the season, and if you have not got him in already, you probably should not be playing FPL.
Forwards – Emmanuel Dennis, Wout Weghorst, Armando Broja
Dennis is another with a double gameweek, and he should be able to play in both matches against Arsenal and Wolves.
Weghorst might face Chelsea, but there’s every chance Burnley can cause an upset, especially with the Blues having to deal with so many off-field issues.
The final player in our starting XI is Southampton’s Broja. The Saints man faces Aston Villa and Newcastle in GWK28, while Southampton face Watford next week. Hopefully, he can grab a goal or two, and he has been a fine player to own so far this season.
Captain – Mohamed Salah
