Steve Clarke’s Scotland side were outclassed by Russia on Friday night and it doesn’t get any easier as they play the best ranked team on paper.
Mr Fixit has posted a great thread on the Euro Qualifiers and its hard to disagree with any of it – I’m certainly of the same opinion and can’t see past anything other than a comfortable Belgium win.
There’s also Belgium Reserve games this evening with one match in particular standing out.
Scotland vs Belgium (7.45pm)
Trying to find value is half the battle in the Euro 2020 qualifiers and whilst Belgium are hot hot favourites , they can’t be backed at 4/11. Throw that into a bet builder though and it certainly changes things.
Been enough said about this game and I won’t labour the point that Scotland are struggling and they are playing one of the best sides in the world, a side who have already beaten Scotland 3-0 and 4-0 so its extremely difficult to see how Scotland can get anything from this game.
I’ve looked at the bet builders and there’s one I really like the look of – there’s no doubt Belgium will win, the Scots are going to spend a lot of time chasing the ball so it’s not unreasonable to think Scotland won’t receive at least one booking and given Belgium’s wealth of attacking options, they should manage 2 goals against a suspect Scottish defence.
Nothing flash here but has a great chance of landing at a good price in my opinion

Standard Liege vs Sint Truiden (7pm)
Belgium Reserve Cup action tonight and a match between two sides who met last Monday with Standard Liege running out 5-1 winners.
I was speaking to Selectabet prior to last Mondays match about this league and that Sint Truiden will be one to follow again in terms of goals with their matches having delivered us plenty of winners over the last few seasons.
They travel to Liege again and you have to fear for them having being hammered here last week and also hammered 6-0 away to Genk a few weeks ago.
They’ve lost all three games, conceding 13 goals whilst Liege have won all three, scoring 14 goals.
Its 10/11 for over 3.5 goals which is really surprising and having looked at the players involved in the Belgium u21 Squad, there doesn’t appear to be any from Liege.
What’s even more intriguing is Liege are as big as 11/10 to win the match which is a little concerning given Sint Truiden’s start to the season and the fact they hammered them just 7 days ago.
A big gulf in quality it would appear between these two and I can’t ignore goals.
