Denmark v Belgium
Belgium didn’t have to get out of second gear against Russia and Roberto Martinez’s side couldn’t have asked for an easier start to Euro 2020. Although they were without a couple of key players, they rarely looked in trouble and despite the loss of Timothy Castagne, they should be full of confidence heading into this tie. Despite their dominance, they managed just nine shots on target and an xG of 1.37.
However, they have one of Europe’s hottest striking properties in Romelu Lukaku and that could easily make the difference. The Red Devils will need to be slightly better to unlock the Danish defence.
Denmark can’t be blamed for their narrow defeat to Finland and they did create multiple chances in Copenhagen. They have home advantage once again, although their lack of a clinical finisher may make a huge difference to the outcome of this contest.

Netherlands v Austria
Frank de Boer has rarely convinced as a club manager, however, he seems to have taken to international management and he was delighted to see his side get off to a winning start against Ukraine.
The Oranje still look a little shaky at the back, and although their opponents barely created anything, they still managed to concede twice. However, the Netherland’s are at their most comfortable when they’re going forward and they should be able to find gaps in the Austrian defence.
Austria fired in six shots on target against North Macedonia and will look to create chances in this tie. The hosts should have enough to win this match, but don’t be surprised if they have a momentary lapse along the way.
