Wales v Denmark
Denmark have been one of the better sides at this tournament when it comes to chance creation and Kasper Hjulmund’s side have fired in over 60 shots so far.
Unfortunately, the Danes do not possess a natural finisher and they have struggled to convert the majority of those opportunities. Russia were wide open at the back and that allowed them to simply stroll through their back-line, however, Wales are unlikely to be quite so accommodating.
Rob Page’s men are extremely well-drilled and they’ve been working hard in training this week ahead of this tie. They possess quality going forward, and they are also hard to penetrate. Italy could only find the net once, whilst Turkey drew a blank and Switzerland had to work hard for their opener.
This won’t be easy for either side, and it could be a workmanlike performance from the Welsh which results in extra time and potentially penalties.
1-1 Draw | 6/1
Italy v Austria
Italy have put together a magnificent 30-game unbeaten run, and Roberto Mancini’s side are yet to concede in this competition. They rested a few players against Wales and still managed to put on a decent showing.
Games are always tougher at this stage of the competition, although the general consensus is that they should be able to simply swat aside Austria. They have attacking talent in abundance and the option to mix it up if things aren’t going according to plan.
Austria have seen five of their last six matches end with Under 2.5 Goals and they are unlikely to be pushovers. They restricted the free-scoring Netherlands to just two goals and although they are unlikely to find a way past this tough Italian back-line, they should be able to keep it respectable.
2-0 Italy | 11/2
