Ninjas in Pyjamas and paiN Gaming will meet on Wednesday for the first time in what promises to be a very one-sided affair. Ninjas in Pyjamas enter this match as $1.20 favourites with CS:GO betting sites, which makes sense since they’re ranked 17th in the world, whereas paiN are no.31 in the global CS:GO standings.
Still, NiP haven’t won anything over the last four months. They crashed out early from BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023. Their only notable achievement since winning Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022 was reaching the semifinals of BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2022 in November.
PaiN Gaming have, over the same period, finished first or second in eight tournaments. Most were B-tier events, except for ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne and the FiReLEAGUE 2022 Global Finals, when they placed second. So despite doing better in their competitive endeavours, paiN Gaming haven’t produced better results than NiP.
Ninjas in Pyjamas might have struggled against the world’s top teams, but they’re still a class above paiN Gaming and we expect that to show on Wednesday.

Three weeks ago, OG made it through BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 European RMR Qualifier B; however, the field was very weak, and they still didn’t place first. OG beat JANO, Anonymo Esports, and Aurora Gaming, but lost against HEET.
Before the RMR qualifier, OG attended IEM Katowice 2023, where they beat Sprout, Fnatic, and MOUZ and lost against Heroic and Outsiders. 00 Nation haven’t played in an S-tier event since IEM Rio Major 2022, but they performed well in some lesser tournaments and qualifiers.
In January, 00 Nation made it through the ESL Pro League Season 17 South American Conference, then added a bronze medal from IEM Rio 2023 South American Qualifier and finished just above the cutoff line two weeks back at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 South American RMR Qualifier.
00 Nation have achieved plenty for their standards, but we’re comparing two teams that are not on the same level. OG haven’t won much lately, but they’ve only really struggled against some of the world’s top teams.
Despite their struggles at the top level of play, OG are still ranked eighth in the world and shouldn’t have too many issues beating 00 Nation.
