Despite placing fourth at The International 2023, Azure Ray have made a few roster changes heading into the 2024 Dota 2 season. Last month, they acquired former Xtreme Gaming duo Zhao “XinQ” Zixing and Guo “Xm” Hongcheng and offlaner Lin “Xxs” Jing, forming what looks like one of the most stacked rosters in the Chinese Dota 2 scene — although they’ve yet to play an official match.
Team Secret signed Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and re-added Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan at the start of November, hoping to find more success after a shaky ending to the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit season. And they’ve so far looked solid, cruising through the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 European qualifiers.
Although Team Secret still have a lot more to prove, they look very competitive. Azure Ray might be stronger on paper, but considering we’ve yet to see them in action, backing a team that proven at the top level makes way more sense at the offered Dota 2 betting odds.

BetBoom Team enter ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 as one of the strongest teams, with Dota 2 betting sites pricing them at $7.50 to claim the title. However, they will kick off their campaign against Gaiman Gladiators — the outright favourites to win the tournament.
Gaimin Gladiators were by far the most successful team of the 2023 season, winning six Tier-1 events and claiming silver at The International 2023. And considering they have made just one roster change, adding Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, the European squad should be just as strong next season.
It is no surprise that Gaiman Gladiators are favourites for this match. Still, this is they first fixture in two months, and we must consider that BetBoom Team are 5-2 in the head-to-head since June.

Following an underwhelming season, Blacklist International decided to hit a reset button and completely revamp their roster. Polo “Raven” Fausto, who is the only carryover, will now link up with Abed “Abed” Yusop, Kim “Gabbi” Santos, Timothy John “TIMS” Randrup, and Carlo “Carlo” Manalo, forming one of the most exciting lineups in the Dota 2 scene.
Blacklist International already had a chance to prove their worth with a near-perfect run through the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 qualifiers. And considering they have managed to deal with Talon Esports, Geek Fam, and Bleed Esports, Blacklist surely shouldn’t struggle against Wawitas Sagazes.
Even though Peruvian Dota 2 teams are never to be underestimated, Wawitas Sagazes have played only a handful of games since the roster was formed in November, and they’ve already shown cracks against weaker opponents. Don’t overthink this one.

Azure Ray and Blacklist International have both upgraded their rosters, but neither squad has been properly tested yet. Therefore, it would make sense to side with a team with better individual talent.
Yet, while Azure Ray look stronger, we don’t know how the new signings will gel, and it doesn’t help that the Chinese outfit hasn’t played a game since late October. Azure Ray’s match against Team Secret early on Monday might give an answer, but by then, the Dota 2 esports betting odds will likely have shifted.
