ATK secured a dominant victory against Brazen (16-11, 16-10) in the opening match of the playoffs, but they met their match on Wednesday when ATK got reverse-swept by Nouns Esports (16-13, 14-16, 13-16) in the upper-bracket semifinals.
Their next opponents, Iron Blood Gaming, lost their opening game against MiBR; however, they played surprisingly well, forcing the Brazilian squad into overtime on Nuke. Unfortunately, they came out short, losing the bout 7-16, 16-19.
Since that loss, Iron Blood Gaming have played one series against Vendetta, who they beat 2-1 on Wednesday, largely thanks to Derek “dare” Brown who ended the series with a 1.51 rating. Still, it wasn’t a compelling showing from Iron Blood Gaming, who gave up 42 rounds against a much weaker team.
ATK have looked better than Iron Blood Gaming, but they definitely don’t deserve to be priced as $1.16 favourites. At the offered odds, the value is with Iron Blood Gaming to win at least one map.

Evil Geniuses Black played a very solid game on Tuesday when they demolished Vendetta (16-13, 16-8), but they were no match for MiBR (0-2), who pushed them down to the lower bracket on Wednesday.
Evil Geniuses Black had a chance to win the first map (Inferno) of the series, and they even held a 13-7 lead but couldn’t close it out and lost in overtime (16-19). The second map (Vertigo) was much more one-sided, with MiBR winning with seven rounds to spare (16-6).
LOS + oNe lost against Nouns Esports (0-2) in the opening match of the playoffs, but they bounced back with a reverse-sweep victory against Brazen (14-16, 16-9, 16-7). LOS + oNe were the better team on the day, but beating Brazen is hardly an achievement.
We don’t have any favourites for this match, but at the offered odds, Evil Geniuses Black are an easy choice. The team’s AWPer Jerric “wiz” Jiang is in great form (1.33) and EG.B also field experienced players in Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and William “RUSH” Wierzba. At best, this is a 50/50 match, so we can’t pass on Evil Geniuses Black at this price.

Nouns Esports and MiBR will lock horns in the ESL Challenger League Season 42 North upper bracket finals in what should be a one-sided match. Esports betting sites have priced MiBR as short-priced favourites to beat Nouns Esports, which makes sense considering how dominant the Brazilians have been in this tournament.
MiBR have yet to lose a single game and have dropped just one map (18-1) when they slipped against Mythic in week 5 of the group stage. Nouns, on the other side, ended the group stage with a 5-2 record and had to claw their way past ATK (2-1) in the semifinals to reach this tournament stage.
MiBR are in much better form and should win, but Nouns Esports have shown some good qualities and are more than capable of forcing a close series. Nouns to win at least one map at $1.69 is not a bad choice, but we prefer over 2.5 maps at $2.16 with Betway, as it’s unlikely that Nouns can 2-0 MiBR.
