It’s playoff time in the North American division of the ESL Challenger League. ESB’s top CS:GO betting analyst has taken a look at Wednesday’s schedule and picked out a couple of markets worth investing in.

Kicking off the playoffs for the ESL Challenger League in North America we have first place in Group B, MiBR, taking on fourth place in Group A, Orgless. MiBR finished the pool matches with an undefeated record of 7-0, whereas for Orgless they finished their pool matches with a record of 4-3.
MiBR have been undoubtedly the best team throughout the pool matches over both groups. Their record speaks for itself considering they finished with all seven wins and zero losses, only losing one map for the entire set of pool matches. MiBR also finished with the biggest plus-minus map differential sitting at +109, being 33 more than the second best ATK at +76. There is no doubt in our mind that MiBR will be heading into the playoffs as heavy favourites to take out the NA ESL Challenger League.
As for Orgless, they ended the pool matches in Group B with four wins and three losses, with all three of their losses coming against ATK, Carpe Diem and paiN Gaming who all finished above them. Orgless have shown in the ESL Challenger League that they can handle the teams that ended up finishing below them but when it comes to the top teams in their group they have struggled, which for this series could be their kryptonite.
MiBR and Orgless met only a couple of days ago in another competition, the ESEA Spring 2022 Cash Cup where MiBR took the series 2-0, 16-12 and 16-9 over the two maps respectively. Therefore, we don’t see this match up going a whole lot different. The rounds line sitting at -6.5 for MiBR is a great bet, considering we are getting $1.90 with Betway.

In one of the second and third seed match ups we see Group B’s second place finisher in Party Astronauts take on Group A’s third place finisher in paiN Gaming. Party Astronauts finished their seven pool matches with a 6-1 record, while paiN Gaming finished their pool matches with a 5-2 record from their seven matches.
Party Astronauts will enter the playoffs coming off a highly successful group stage and they will have some added fire in their belly due to the fact that they have just been eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 15. The experience they have gained and the lessons they would have learnt from those five matches will be invaluable to them in these playoffs. Going through these group stages they only lost their one match to MiBR, who have beaten everyone in Group A, which isn’t great but it shows they are the clear second seed from Group A.
As for paiN Gaming, their five wins and two losses would be what most people would have expected for them. They would have been expected to make the playoffs in the second or third spot given their world ranking and previous results. They only series they lost were to the two teams above them, ATK and Carpe Diem, not being able to take a map off either of them. The recent results for paiN Gaming are very good, with them recording a two thirds and a second in their last three tournaments they have entered.
Party Astronauts and paiN Gaming have a long history with one-another given they have played each other in five series in the last 12 months. From these five series, paiN Gaming have taken four of the five series and Party Astronauts took one series in July of last year. We believe that the fortunes are about to change for Party Astronauts. They are steadily climbing the world rankings with this team and playing in higher-rated tournaments than paiN Gaming, so we suggest backing Party Astronauts to take the series at $2.10 with Betway.
