English Football Tips: Toffees Could Make Things Sticky for City

IT’s an FA Cup weekend in England and KevMac reckons all four quarter-final ties are tasty from a betting perspective.

There has been so much talk about a Quadruple for Manchester City and they strolled into the Champions League last eight with a midweek win.

But an FA Cup clash at Everton could be one of the toughest hurdles on their road to a clean sweep.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have the firepower to dump City out if Pep Guardiola’s men fail to hit top form in
tonight’s tie.

But the Toffees will have to improve on a dismal home record that has seen them win just two of their last seven at Goodison.

Four of those games ended in defeats, including a 3-1 loss to City in the league, so they will need to up their game to stand a chance.

However, I fancy Everton to score, which is 10/11 at McBookie, while BTTS pays a decent 21/20.

Sergio Aguero could start for City after coming off the bench in midweek and the Argentinian is evens at SportNation to score.

There’s another potential blockbuster tomorrow as Manchester United travel to Leicester City.

The Foxes haven’t tasted victory in the last 13 meetings but this is a good chance for them to end that miserable run.

United are coming off the back of a draining Euro win over AC Milan on Thursday and looked unconvincing for much of that game.

The Foxes, who had a free midweek, have lost just one of their last nine domestic matches and are 2/1 at Betway to win in 90 minutes.

But I’m going to play a little safer and back Brendan Rodgers’ men to qualify at 11/10 (Paddy Power) as it could go to extra time.

United’s last eight games have all seen under 2.5 goals and a repeat here pays 20/21 at McBookie.

The FA Cup action kicks off today with a south coast derby as Bournemouth host Southampton.

The Cherries are the only lower-league team left in the competition and have picked up under Jonathan Woodgate, with three wins in their last five.

Saints are on a dismal run in the Premier League, with one win in 13, but have been much better in the Cup.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have knocked out holders Arsenal and Wolves so they should have too much power for Bournemouth.

Southampton are 8/7 with SBK to win in 90 minutes which looks decent value.

Cherries midfielder Jefferson Lerma has picked up 10 yellows and one red this season, making him a good shout for a card here at 2/1 with Bet365.

Chelsea host managerless Sheffield United in the other tie, with the Blades as big as 14/1 (SBK) for a shock win.

The Blues have been a machine under Thomas Tuchel so I’m backing another win to nil for them at 17/20 with McBookie.
