IT’S another busy night of action as we look forward to the last round of matches in the UCL group stages and there are 6 games from the English Championship.
Salzburg were a big let down last night as were Ajax who battered Valencia but were unable to get make the breakthrough despite dominating and that cost us a 9/4 winner on all 8 UCL games over 1.5 goals. Chelsea and Lyon goals double landed at 6/4 and I was pleased I decided to leave the total goals market as 28+ was just too high (23 scored)
I really like the look of tonight’s English Championship card – we should see goals from the 6 fixtures
English Championship Total Goals – 6 Matches (7.45pm)
I’ve been championing the total goals market for some time now and I’ve had a fantastic response to it on the site and on Twitter with more and more people now backing the market as a result.
Its a market I very rarely get wrong when I choose to do it and is one of my most profitable markets to back this season.
Looking through tonights fixtures, West Broms’s trip to Wigan immediately stands out. They are the leagues top scorers with 42 goals and play a side sitting second bottom, without a win in 8 and who have conceded at least 2 goals in each of thier last 7 matches.
In stark contrast, WBA are flying, 6 wins on the spin and come into this off the back of a 5-1 hammering of Swansea.
Bottom side Barnsley have seen both teams score in 11 of their last 12 – 10 of which went over 2.5 goals with 9 of those seeing over 3.5 goals. They host a Reading side who have just beaten fellow strugglers Wigan 3-1.
Sheffield Wednesday are in great shape at the moment – both sides have scored in their last 6 games with 5 of those seeing at least 3 goals. Steven Fletcher is in the form of his life at the moment and they travel to play a Derby side who have been strong at home. Another candidate for both teams to score
Blackburn are another side in great shape having won 5 of their last 6 to propel themselves to within touching distance of the play offs. 7 of their last 8 away matches have seen over 2.5 goals and they play a Swansea side without a win in 5 and who have won just one of their last 7 home matches.
Another game where we should see both teams score is Birmingham vs QPR. The visitors have conceded in every away game this season, in fact, they have only kept one clean sheet this season home and away and that was last week in what was their first clean sheet in 23 matches.
As always, with 6 games, its not unreasonable to think a couple of these games could deliver 4+ goals. There are some cracking matches with teams who are flying against sides who are really struggling.
Really excited by this card and I’m hoping we’ll see plenty of goals.
