V-Gaming struggled a bit during Dota 2 Champions League 2021 Season 5 last month and ended the tournament in an underwhelming seventh-eighth place. On paper, it seems like V-Gaming have improved by making it through the DPC EEU qualifiers with ease, but their run is nothing to write home about since V-Gaming haven’t beaten any strong teams.
Fantastic Five enter the 2021/22 DPC season with a new roster that has no official matches on the record. That makes the team quite an enigma for us and their opponents, who won’t know what to expect.
It’s natural to be bearish on F5 since they are an unknown quality, but seeing how unconvincing V-Gaming have been over the last month, it doesn’t make much sense to see them priced at $1.21. A smaller position on Fantastic Five with a map handicap is the way to go.

Winstrike Team hit a reset button in November and formed a new roster led by Dota 2 veteran Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev. Admittedly, Winstrike lack big players, but they have enough talent to succeed at this level of play.
HYDRA have proven that they shouldn’t be ignored by claiming a bronze medal from Dota 2 Champions League 2021 Season 5, but realistically, that is their only notable achievement of the year. What’s more, the Kyrgyzstani squad have been dropping games against semi-pro teams (Label bmd and Enclave) not too long ago, so they might not be the most consistent team at the tournament.
You could argue that this is a 50/50 match since these two teams have never met before, but we would disagree. Even at $1.60, Winstrike Team are a better pick since they field more talent and seem far more stable.
