There is still plenty to be decided at both ends of the Serie A table and this weekend could provide answers with some fascinating fixtures on the agenda.
The earliest of three matches on Saturday is the Turin derby with Juventus aiming to extend their lead at the top of the table against their relegation-threatened city rivals, Torino.
Torino to Struggle Despite Belotti Form
Juve have recovered from a shaky return from lockdown, namely losing out in the Coppa Italia final, by winning their last three games, most recently triumphing 3-1 at Genoa.
In contrast, Torino, sit 14th in the table at the time of writing, although that is still six points clear of the bottom three. However, their cushion is mainly down to the struggles of the teams below them as they most recently lost 2-1 to Lazio, while they have not beaten their neighbours since 2015.
One positive is that captain Andrea Belotti has started scoring, netting in their last three games and he could be the key to their survival hopes.
Belotti is a streaky player though and punters should take note that only one of the last six meetings have seen both teams score and a home win to zero could be the outcome at 4/5*.
Milan to Make Life Difficult for Title Chasers
Later in the evening, Torino’s conquerors from Tuesday are in action as Lazio host Milan aiming to keep the pressure on the Bianconeri.
Simone Inzaghi’s men are unbeaten at home in the league, while they also sit second in goals scored in their 29 games, as well as possessing the division’s second best defensive record.
Lazio were the 2-1 winners when the duo met at the San Siro in November and are 29/20 to win again on Saturday.
However, life will not be easy against the Rossoneri who have remained unbeaten in their last three games to boost their European hopes, although they were a touch fortunate to draw 2-2 at lowly SPAL on Wednesday.
Goals on the Agenda in Key Relegation Clash
The relegation battle takes precedence on Sunday, with Udinese against Genoa the key match-up.
With the sides sat 16th and 17th respectively at the time of writing, the Zebrette need to start picking up points at home having failed to win their last four at the Dacia Arena.
Genoa meanwhile were 3-1 losers to Juventus last time out but have a decent record away from home, avoiding defeat in their last five.
The last four of those have seen over 2.5 goals, a bet that came in when the duo met earlier in the campaign with Udinese winning 3-1.
That option provides value at 21/20, while a both teams to score bet at 5/6 may also be worth considering in a game that looks tough to call.
Revenge on the Mind of Cup Kings
Finally to what could prove to be the match-up of the weekend at the Stadio San Paolo where Napoli host Roma.
After winning the Coppa Italia, Napoli look to have momentum and host a Giallorossi side who have won only one of their last six on the road in all competitions.
Roma were the 2-1 winners when the pair met in November but the hosts look a good price at 11/10, while turning the tables by winning by the same scoreline of 2-1 is 33/1.
