IT’S Copa Del Rey Semi final 2nd leg action tonight as Granada and Atletico Bilbao look to seal their passage to the final against Real Sociedad next month
As often with Spanish games (especially latter stages of the cup) there’s a very good chance we’ll see cards tonight and with the match nicely poised at 1-0, it bodes well fr the referee to have a tough night ahead.
Granada vs Atletico (KO 8pm)
It’s advantage Atletico Bilbao who take a slim 1-0 lead to Granada in the 2nd leg of the Cop Del Ray Semi final at the Estadio Nuevo Los.
The first leg saw no fewer than 5 cards shown and its no supruse that Dani Garci was shown one. That was his 5th booking in 6 matches and he’s now back from suspension having missed matches for the 15th time in his career – thats going to happen when you pick up 110 yellow cards – amazingly receiving just one red.
The last 6 meetings between the sides has delivered 37 cards so at 6 cards per game and given the magnitude of this match, we should see at least 6 tonight.
There are plenty of other candidate for cards from both camps – German Sanchez has 8 yellows and red to his name , experienced striker Soldado has 11 yellows, and there are four other players all sitting on 5 or more
Bilbao are no strangers to cards and Dani Garci’s namesake, Raul has already been shown 7 cards this season and defensive pairing Martinexz and Capa have 7 and 10 yellows to their name. The Garcia’s are worth a punt to be booked first – both 10/1 at BetVictor
Granada will be hoping their strong home form sees them through here having lost just three games – should be a fascinating second leg with plenty at stake for both sides – roll on the cards
Recommended Bets:
- Over 5.5 cards
- 5/6 (Skybet) (NAP)
- Atletico Bilbao over 2.5 team cards
- 8/11 (NB)
