The Kansas City Chiefs were not their normal selves last time out against the Las Vegas Raiders but it looks like they can put that right on Monday night at the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills will be no pushovers after signs of improvement but confidence might have taken a bit of a knock after a heavy defeat last time out.
Chiefs Too Loose With Raiders
It was an extremely entertaining shootout between the Chiefs and the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium last weekend, with Las Vegas coming out on top 40-32.
The Chiefs offence was up to scratch but the other side of the ball was way off the mark, which is uncharacteristic for a side that put in disciplined performances to dispatch the Texans, Chargers, Ravens and Patriots.
It’s something experienced head coach Andy Reid and his coaching team will have addressed leading up to their trip to Buffalo, as they face a Bills side who came down to earth with a crash against the Tennessee Titans most recently.
The Bills have looked strong at the start of the season but went down 42-16 against the Titans in a result that will surely have put a few doubts in the ranks.
Ultimately the last side they would want to face are the defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City, who could well add insult to injury on Monday night.
The Chiefs are firm favourites on the money line at 20/49
but there is value to be had on the points spread ahead of the clash at Bills Stadium.
Kansas City are 10/11
to come out on top with a -5.5 handicap, as they look to get back to winning ways before a trip to Denver to face the Broncos in their following game.
Cardinals to Add to Cowboys’ Woes
The Dallas Cowboys have a tough road ahead of them as they get set to host the Arizona Cardinals without star man Dak Prescott in the side.
The Cowboys quarterback saw his season finished with a sickening ankle dislocation last time out against the New York Giants and now experienced QB Andy Dalton is thrust into the fold.
Former Cincinnati Bengals star Dalton, who will become a free agent at the end of the current NFL season, has the task of trying to steady the ship and guide the Cowboys into the playoffs.
That is certainly an achievable goal, especially with the Giants, Philadelphia and Washington all showing no signs of consistency at this stage of the season in the NFC East.
However, the Cowboys might have to wait a little longer for their first win with Dalton starting in the driving seat as Arizona look good value to pick up a win on the road in Texas.
The Cardinals will be full of confidence after beating the struggling New York Jets 30-10 last time out and they will fancy their chances of getting at the Cowboys while they settle into life without Prescott.
Arizona are available at 21/20
to pick up the W on the road.
