The Kansas City Chiefs will look to maintain their winning run against the Ravens when they head to Baltimore for the NFL’s Monday Night Football.
This is set to be a fantastic battle between two sides that have been tipped to be there once again for the business end of the playoffs this season.
Chiefs Can Show Why They Are Champions
Kansas City have a target on their back after winning the Super Bowl last season but it seems the Chiefs are more than comfortable with their favourites’ tag.
Andy Reid’s side have been handed a tricky start to the regular campaign but so far they have been able to overcome the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Texans pushed Kansas City but the champions edged that one 34-20 on home soil before edging out the Chargers 23-20 in California.
Next comes the biggest test of the season so far for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, with the Chiefs at 29/20 to win on Monday night.
Ravens Make Flying Start
Baltimore have also made a 2-0 start to the season with the Ravens romping to a 38-6 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 before landing their own victory against the Texans 33-16 in Houston.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson has made an impressive start and continues to show why he is rated as one of the best playmakers in the NFL at the moment.
The head-to-head between Jackson and Mahomes is an intriguing one and whoever can keep their turnovers to a minimum, while having the courage to go for opportunities, will have a big say in deciding this game at M&T Bank Stadium.
Baltimore are favourites at 10/17 to claim the win on home soil but their recent record suggests that they might well struggle for the W against the Chiefs.
KC Going for Four on the Bounce
The Chiefs have enjoyed a good winning run against Baltimore, coming out on top in the last three encounters with the Ravens.
Kansas City have won the last two home games 27-24 and 33-28 in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
The Chiefs also won on their last visit to Baltimore as they came out on top 34-14 against the Ravens in 2015.
Although the Ravens have shown real signs of progress over the last couple of seasons, the Chiefs know what it takes to get the win on the road in Baltimore.
Expect a Narrow Encounter
Only eight points have separated the two teams in the aggregates of the last two meetings with the Chiefs edging it 60-52.
Cornerback Tavon Young is the only player ruled out for the Ravens, with head coach John Harbaugh’s side coming through the first two weeks generally unscathed.
DE Alex Okafor is the only injury problem for the Chiefs as he misses out due to a hamstring injury.
With all the stars set to be on show, this is going to be an intriguing encounter that Kansas City will fancy their chances in.
The 29/20 is a good price for the Chiefs on the money line on the road while the more cautious might plump for the 5/6 for Kansas City with +3.5 on the spread.
