Los Angeles Guerrillas went 2-1 over their last three fixtures, with wins against Los Angeles Thieves and Boston Breach and a 0-3 loss against Atlanta FaZe. Against FaZe, the Guerrillas played well and came 20 points short of winning Hardpoint and one from winning Control.
Their excellent showing last week explains the offered betting odds, but this team is far from perfect. Despite the noticeable improvement in respawns, Los Angeles Guerrillas still look shaky on Search & Destroy.
Minnesota RØKKR have beaten just Carolina Royal Ravens so far this season, which doesn’t sound promising. They had a decent game against New York Subliners last week when they won Hardpoint but fell apart in the final three maps.
As the season progresses, it’s becoming clear that RØKKR are missing some pieces to be competitive. And while Minnesota RØKKR look capable of stopping LA Guerrillas, their poor form makes it tough to believe that RØKKR will bounce back.

OpTic Texas had to reverse-sweep Las Vegas Legion last week, which isn’t a good look for a squad who many believed would be one of the top contenders to win the CDL Major 1. One shaky showing doesn’t take away from OpTic’s 4-1 record, but they seem somewhat inconsistent.
Miami Heretics are 3-2 ahead of the fourth week of the CDL Major 1 Qualifier, which isn’t terrible. However, they lost both games last week against Seattle Surge and Boston Breach, 2–3 and 1-3, respectively.
Much like the case with OpTic, a couple of poor showings don’t make Miami Heretics a weak team. They’ve shown some flashes of greatness so far this season and can be competitive on a good day.
The problem with Miami Heretics is that they’ve not played any good teams, so everything they’ve shown should be taken with a grain of salt.

New York Subliners won both matches last week against Minnesota RØKKR and the Los Angeles Thieves, beating both teams with two maps to spare. The Subliners performed well in both matches, but there are a few things to note about this squad.
Despite being very effective on Search & Destroy, Subliners’ respawns need some work. And that’s something Toronto Ultra could take advantage of on Friday.
Toronto Ultra are 4-1 after three rounds of action, with two wins from last week against the Seattle Surge and Los Angeles Thieves. In both series, Toronto Ultra looked solid on respawns; however, they aren’t nearly as good on Search & Destroy, creating an interesting situation between the two CDL teams.
CoD esports betting sites have Toronto Ultra priced as favourites, which might not sound wrong, but at $1.72, they’re way too short. Subliners at even money or better are a wiser choice.
