London Royal Ravens enter this match off a painful 1-3 loss against New York Subliners, who won the series thanks to a remarkable 1-5 comeback on Express – S&D. Regardless, the Royal Ravens put up a solid fight, so we wouldn’t criticise them too much, especially after their wins against Los Angeles Thieves (3-1) and Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-0).
Toronto Ultra’s only won of this stage came against the Guerrillas on Saturday (3-2), having previously lost to Atlanta FaZe (0-3) and LA Thieves (2-3). Unlike the Royal Ravens, Toronto have not impressed us this season; they have only really looked good during the Stage 1 Major, when they won against London (3-2) and Minnesota RØKKR (3-2).
The Royal Ravens have been somewhat inconsistent this season, but they have had much higher highs than the Ultra. Toronto might have won their previous head-to-head bout with London, but we don’t believe they can recreate that on Friday.

Atlanta FaZe enter the final week of CDL Stage 2 with a phenomenal 12-0 record and 38-9 map differential, meaning they’ve won 81% of all maps played. Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson and co. have yet to meet a team that could threaten their status as the CDL’s top dogs.
Even though we expect FaZe to fall sooner or later, we can confidently say that LA Guerrillas won’t be derailing the Stage 1 Major champions this weekend. The Guerrillas’ only notable performance so far happened on Saturday when they forced the Ultra to five maps, and even that is not something to be too proud of.
Clean sweeps are not all that common in the CDL, but it’s hard to imagine anything other than a 3-0 win for FaZe this Friday.
