4.30 – Bestival Season At MansionBet Nursery (5f)
Hi Meh Darling surely must get her head in front soon, she’s got a great chance, but both Come Quick and NINKY NONK are fancied for big runs after catching the eye last time. Keith Dalgleish’s son of Raven’s Pass was beaten favourite in a novice over 6f in early July and has since finished fourth on handicap bow at Musselburgh (5f, good) from a 1lb higher mark. If he can keep closer to the speed mid-race, he’s should be involved at the death.
Selection: Ninky Nonk @ 13/2
5.05 – MansionBet Summer Of Lovely Offers Handicap (6f)
SINGE ANGLAIS is 2-3 here at Carlisle and was clear in second spot 15 days ago behind a much-improved scorer on the back of a wind operation. That form has been boosted by multiple runners since and, from an unchanged mark, Nigel Tinkler’s 4YO can continue his excellent record at this northern venue.
Selection: Singe Anglais @ 11/2
5.35 – MansionBet Bestival Bet 10 Get 20 EBF Novice Stakes (1m)
La Pulga was a winner on debut at Sandown and has shaped well since, including when third in a Newmarket nursery last time. He shapes as though this longer trip will suit and sets the standard. KING OF YORK has run twice at Haydock over 7f this summer and should benefit going up in trip now. Kevin Ryan’s Kingman colt is dangerous getting 7lb from La Pulga.
Selection: King Of York @ 3/1
6.05 – MansionBet Bestival Beaten By A Head Handicap Division 1 (1m)
Recent Musselburgh scorer Written Broadcast could prove vulnerable despite going up only 3lb. John Quinn’s POSSIBLE AMBITION remains a maiden after eight starts but there have been positives lately at Beverley and Pontefract over further and he could break his duck if the blinkers have a positive effect now back tackling the mile.
Selection: Possible Ambition @ 7/2
6.35 – MansionBet Bestival Beaten By A Head Handicap Division 2 (1m)
Strangerontheshore scored over C&D 15 days ago and is likely to be in the mix again from 4lb higher now for Nigel Tinkler but ZORAVAN has endured a couple of close calls at Ayr lately and, from an unchanged mark, this six-time Carlisle runner-up might be able to get a deserved win on the board at this venue.
Selection: Zoravan @ 7/2
7.05 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Fillies’ Novice Stakes (1m1f)
Swoon carries a penalty for winning at Wolverhampton last time and that might open the door Doncaster runner-up TRES SPECIALE to get up and running at the second time of asking. Ralph Beckett’s Siyouni filly bumped into an odds-on jolly from the Gosden yard that afternoon on Town Moore and she caught the eye in coming home seven-length clear of everything else behind the easy winner.
Selection: Tres Speciale @ 4/7
7.35 – MansionBet Bestival Extra Places Handicap (7f)
POET’S MAGIC is enjoying a solid season, twice winning at Ayr over this distance, and was a touch unfortunate to bump into a progressive scorer (completing a hat-trick) last time at Epsom. The mare can race here from an unchanged mark of 75 and should have a leading say again.
Selection: Poet’s Magic @ 2/1
8.05 – Follow MansionBet This Bestival Season Handicap (1m3½f)
Having made a winning start in handicaps at Doncaster on Saturday off the back of 242 days off in what his first start on turf, BUFORD escapes a penalty as that score came in an apprentice contest. Grant Tuer’s horses are in form right now and this Lawman gelding can quickly double his tally.
Selection: Buford @ 6/5
