Brescia can all-but kiss their hopes of surviving goodbye on Wednesday if they fail to pick up a win at relegation rivals Lecce.
Make or Break for Brescia
Brescia won the Serie B title last season and were always expected to be up against it after returning to the top flight for the first time since 2010-11.
With four games left to play, Brescia sit 19th and nine points from safety after earning a crucial 2-1 win over rock-bottom Spal, who have already had relegation confirmed, on Sunday.
They face another key opponent on Wednesday when heading to 18th-placed Lecce, who are five points better off.
Le Rondinelle haven’t won five games in a row since January 2012 but they may well need to do that to stand any chance of playing in the top flight next term.
Lecce aren’t in any kind of great form, having lost their last two matches, but have a much better chance of surviving with just a four-point gap to Genoa in 17th.
The reverse fixture ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory to Brescia, but with so much on the line on Wednesday, expect this clash to be a much tighter affair between two of the lowest scoring sides in the division.
Brescia are the joint second lowest scorers, netting on just 32 occasions, while Lecce have bagged 42 times so backing under 1.5 goals at 4/1* looks the way to go.
Roma to Run Riot Against Relegated Spal
Roma are well on track to secure a Europa League berth and can move ahead of fifth-placed AC Milan with just a point when they travel Spal on Wednesday.
Spal have won just five games all season and relegation has already been confirmed as they sit 14 points from safety after picking up just one point from their last eight outings.
They have failed to score in four of their last five Serie A encounters and have conceded at least three goals on three occasions during that sequence.
Europa League hopefuls Roma, who drew with third-placed Inter Milan on Sunday, beat second-from-bottom Brescia 3-0 on the road earlier this month and a similar result is expected against Spal.
Spal are comfortably the lowest scorers in the league and shouldn’t pose to much of a threat in the final third, therefore, the standout bet in this one looks to be a Roma win to nil at 27/20.
Samp to Seal Fourth Successive Win
Sampdoria have little to play for during the final weeks of the Serie A season but that hasn’t impacted their level of performance.
Samp sit 13th with a 12-point gap to the relegation zone while they are 17 points shy of the European places after winning their last three outings.
Claudio Ranieri’s men came from two goals down to win 3-2 in their most recent outing against Parma and are seemingly looking to build momentum ahead of next term.
A fourth successive win looks to be achievable on Wednesday when they welcome Genoa to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Genoa have picked up crucial victories over Lecce and Spal in recent weeks but continue to struggle against sides placed higher up the standings.
Indeed, Sampdoria have won the last two meetings with Genoa and a repeat of that outcome can be backed at an attractive 6/4.
