Week 16 of the NFL season continues on Christmas Day and there are two significant matches taking place, starting with the clash between the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay already have the NFC North division wrapped up as they boast an impressive 11-3 record, but they won’t want to give up the number one seed in the National Football Conference and will be eager to extend their winning streak to four.
As for the Browns, they may sit bottom of the AFC North with a 7-7 record but they are still in the hunt for the division title, as they are just one victory behind both the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.
Packers to Stay Perfect
Green Bay have not put a foot wrong on home soil this season, winning all six of their matches at Lambeau Field to date, and they will be confident of maintaining that 100 percent record against Cleveland, who are 2-4 on the road.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been in impressive form for the Packers, throwing for 30 touchdowns, 3487 yards and just four interceptions, and he will be key if his side are going to win Super Bowl LVI.
The Packers are on a three-game winning streak, beating the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears and the Ravens, and they should have enough at their disposal to dispatch Cleveland, who have shipped a combined 61 points in their last two road defeats to the New England Patriots and the Ravens.
Backing Green Bay at 50/57 to win at -7 in the handicap looks to provide good value, while the Packers to be leading at half-time and full-time at 20/41 is another potential betting avenue to go down.
Colts Can Keep Pace in AFC South
The second Christmas Day clash, which goes on into the early hours of the morning, will see the Arizona Cardinals welcome the Indianapolis Colts to State Farm Stadium for another crucial encounter.
Arizona are battling it out with the Rams for top spot in the NFC West, with both teams boasting 10-4 records, and it could be a case of one error over the final weeks that will cost one of these franchises the divisional title.
The Cardinals appear to be floundering at the wrong time, as they have lost their last two matches to the Rams and, more surprisingly, to the Detroit Lions, and they have endured inconsistencies at home this season – losing three and winning three at State Farm Stadium.
Indianapolis have their own title to fight for in the AFC South, in which they currently sit in second place and two wins behind the Titans, and the Colts are on a two-game winning streak heading into the contest.
The Colts have also enjoyed themselves on the road this season, boasting a 4-2 record, and they will fancy their chances at 21/20 to pick up a crucial victory this weekend.
Indianapolis, who picked up a big victory last time out when stopping the Patriots, have been led by QB Carson Wentz, who has thrown for 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions so far this season.
However, it is on the rushing side of the game that the Colts have looked extremely sharp, as they have 2198 rushing yards to sit second behind the Eagles (2318).
It would be no surprise to see them dominate on the ground, particularly with Jonathan Taylor – just 10/21 to score a TD anytime – in such strong form, having rushed for 17 touchdowns and 1518 yards.
