Tyson Fury
There’s an obvious place to start and that’s WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The Gypsy King came through a memorable trilogy of fights against Deontay Wilder, with the Morecambe man eventually wrestling the WBC crown from the American.
Fury also held the IBF, WBO, IBO belts, after beating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, but he was later forced to relinquish those titles. Fury’s return to the ring in 2018 marked a stunning transformation and it’s worth remembering that the Gypsy King is still unbeaten in 32 professional contests.
Fury is set to take on fellow British heavyweight Dillian White on the 23rd April. That promises to be a blockbuster clash and Fury is 2/13 to come out on top
Whyte is available at 15/4, the Bodysnatcher is 9/2 to win by stoppage and Fury is 2/1 to win via decision.
Josh Taylor
Josh Taylor was awarded a controversial points win over Jack Catterall recently and the Scot held onto his undisputed crown. The Tartan Tornado became the first British fighter to unify a division in the four belt era after he defeated Jose Ramírez in May.
Taylor blew away the competition in the World Boxing Super Series light-welterweight tournament and he gained the WBA strap when outpointing the previously unbeaten Regis Prograis.
The Tartan Tornado was extremely fortunate to get the decision against Catterall and he may look to step up a weight division in the future.
Lawrence Okolie
Lawrence Okolie was crowned WBO cruiserweight champ when dismantling Krzysztof Głowacki last May. The Hackney hitter has enjoyed a rapid rise and he was crowned world champion after just 16 professional fights.
The Sauce has made two successful defences, against Dilan Prasovic and Michał Cieslak, and he will be looking for a unification bout against Mairis Briedis next time out.
There’s also talk of the Hackney hitter moving up to a buzzing heavyweight division and the Sauce certainly has the power to be a force in the big-hitting division.
Sunny Edwards
At the other end of the scales there is IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards. The Sutton puncher won his first world title when outpointing Moruti Mthalane last year.
Showtime made a successful defence against Jayson Mama just before Christmas and he is now set to take on Muhammad Waseem in Dubai later this month.
