There is evening racing at Brighton on Tuesday and MansionBet are thrilled to be primary sponsors for the eight-race meeting at the popular Seaside layout.
Action at Brighton is from 5.00-8.35 and you can watch it all via live streaming when logged into MansionBet – alongside every race from the UK and Ireland. Our tipster takes a look through the Brighton card, with selections for all right races.
5.00 – Elizabeth Ann Taylor Memorial Handicap (5f)
Two wins from two starts over this C&D is the record of the Robert Cowell-trained filly AISH and, raised 4lb for her all-the-way success here a fortnight ago, she may well be good to confirm that superiority over Minhaaj.
The runner-up is now some 5lb better off but Ray Dawson’s mount retains scope for better things still.
Selection: Aish @ 15/8
5.35 – MansionBet Bet 10 Get 20 Median Auction Maiden Stakes (5f)
Vandad is 0-17 thus far but has made the frame in nearly half of those starts. Michael Attwater’s Dandy Man gelding will surely not get a better window than this to make the breakthrough.
Mick Channon’s filly DIAMONDS DANCING has just two runs under her belt and her Newcastle debut (5f, AW) second in April suggested there are races to be won with her. She’s got a decent claim.
Selection: Diamonds Dancing @ 5/2
6.05 – MansionBet Watch And Bet Median Auction Maiden Stakes (7f)
A weak maiden on paper and a glorious chance for FLAME OF FREEDOM to register. Eve Johnson Houghton’s filly was second in a decent Newbury maiden (7f, good) in April on debut and ran again with credit in third in a Windsor novice since.
She’s the standout candidate. Baron Slick’s only racecourse appearance was some 925 days ago, it’s worth keeping tabs on Marcus Tregoning’s charge on his belated return.
Selection: Flame Of Freedom @ 2/9
6.35 – MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Handicap (1m4f)
The hat-trick seeking Contingency Fee was a decisive C&D winner in May from 5lb lower and won narrowly since in Jersey. He’s got leading hopes again.
ELTHAM PLACE is a 10-race maiden but David Simcock’s daughter of Invincible Spirit is proving fairly consistent. Her latest Windsor second came on soft ground, so any easing in the ground will help here, though she has also run well on the all-weather too.
Selection: Eltham Place @ 3/1
7.05 – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden Handicap (1m2f)
Mark Johnston’s filly WOOTON CREEK appeared to have something about her when posting runner-up finishes in her first two starts last season but things have stalled since.
She has finished well held in handicaps at Leicester (7f, good to firm) and Pontefract (1m, good to firm) last month, but her mark has already dipped some 8lb as a result and it shouldn’t be a surprise if better is forthcoming now that her stamina is teased out, especially with Hollie Doyle on board for the second time.
Selection: Wooton Creek @ 10/3
7.35 – MansionBet Beaten By A Head Handicap (1m)
Wins at Haydock and Bath recently ensure that Arctic Emperor needs major consideration for Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle. He acts on any ground and should give this another go from a 5lb higher mark.
Strawberry Jack is a danger but so, too, can be ALIBABA for Julia Feilden. The Lawman gelding has been running well of late and should get his turn soon, particularly if he’s allowed dominate.
Selection: Alibaba @ 7/2
8.05 – Follow attheraces On Twitter Handicap Division 1 (1m)
Finvarra is developing a strong record over this C&D with recent figures of 121 here, and there’s no reason to suspect that he won’t go well again under his penalty.
BAYAMON BELLE twice ran well here in May, including a very close second from 1lb higher, and the blinkers sported on the latter occasion are retried now. Ross Coakley’s mount has claims with a repeat of that effort.
Selection: Bayamon Belle @ 12/1
8.35 – Follow attheraces On Twitter Handicap Division 2 (1m)
Thomas Lanfiere is the obvious starting point in this Brighton finale. The No Nay Never gelding failed to complete the hat-trick at Yarmouth last month, but he still ran well and is now reunited with Hayley Turner and they’ve got leading claims.
HARLEQUIN ROSE was only a half-length behind that rival over C&D (good to firm) in April and is a three-time scorer here at the Seaside.
She failed to give her running here at the start of June when last spotted, but could easily rebound after a seven-week lay-off.
Selection: Harlequin Rose @ 7/1
