Tyson Fury to win – 1/6 at bet365*

Draw – 28/1 at 888sport

Dillian Whyte to win – 9/2 at William Hill

Round Betting Odds

In Round Group Betting, Fury to win in rounds 7-12 is a 9/5 chance with Betfair. Those that fancy Fury to finish the contest earlier can get odds of 3/1 with BoyleSports for rounds 1-6.

Whyte can be backed at 11/1 with Betfair to win in rounds 7-12, or you can get 12/1 with BoyleSports on him to prevail in rounds 1-6. The Method of Victory betting market sees Fury to Win by KO, TKO or Disqualification at 4/5 with bet365.

Tyson Fury

Fury, the 33-year-old undefeated WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion, was last in action in October 2021. That was when he successfully defended his world titles with an 11th round knockout of former WBC champion Deontay Wilder in their trilogy match. Prior to his last two bouts against Wilder, Fury’s last fight resulted in a unanimous decision win against the Swede, Otto Wallin, in September 2019.

Dillian Whyte

Whyte, the 33-year-old WBC interim heavyweight champion, had been scheduled to face Wallin in a defence of his WBC interim title in October 2021, but the fight was cancelled just days before it was due to take place after Whyte allegedly suffered a shoulder injury. His last fight was in March 2021, when he defeated the Russian Alexander Povetkin via a 4th round TKO to regain the WBC interim heavyweight title he had lost to the same fighter in August the previous year.

The only other blemish on Whyte’s professional career is a 7th round TKO loss to Anthony Joshua when challenging for the WBC International, Commonwealth, and vacant British heavyweight titles in December 2015.

Fury v Whyte – Who wins?

There is no love lost between Fury and Whyte, with the two being bitter rivals. That in itself should ensure that the “Gypsy King” is fully prepared both physically and mentally going into this encounter, which will take place in front of an estimated crowd of around 90,000 at Wembley Stadium.

Fury has a significant height and reach advantage (five and seven inches respectively) over his opponent. Of Fury’s 31 professional wins, 22 have come via KO. Whyte’s 28 victories have included 19 KOs.

Whyte has been waiting for a shot at a world title since late 2017, so he’s not going to make this easy for Fury. However, the bookmakers make the Jamaica-born Whyte a significant outsider to win this fight.
