Frank Lampard was a thorn in the side of his former club West Ham a host of times as a Chelsea player and now the manager’s Blues are preparing to host the Hammers on Monday.
Chelsea have hit a rut in their last two outings but a London derby provides them with the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways and secure some bragging rights in the process.
Home Comforts To End Chelsea’s Blues
Chelsea have not fared well on their travels in their last two outings, suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Everton and Wolves.
Goodison Park and Molineux are certainly not easy places to visit this season but Lampard would have hoped his side could come away from Merseyside and the West Midlands with at least something to show for their efforts.
Now back at Stamford Bridge, the Blues will fancy their chances of getting one over on David Moyes’ side.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech are back in first-team training and could feature against the Hammers and will look to help their team get revenge after a 1-0 defeat in this fixture last term.
That is the only loss the Blues have suffered in their last 15 games against West Ham at home in all competitions and they are 11/10
to win both halves in this all-London affair.
Clarets Can Frustrate Wolves Once Again
Unbeaten in their last three Premier League outings, Burnley will be hoping to keep their points tally ticking over with a positive result against Wolves at Turf Moor.
After a tough start to the season for the Lancashire outfit, they appear to have turned a corner, with a win at Arsenal sandwiched between draws against both Everton and Aston Villa.
Having lost just once in their last six games, Clarets boss Sean Dyche will be confident as they welcome Wolves to the North West.
Burnley have no fresh injury concerns, with Dyche expected to go with the same side that held Aston Villa to a goalless draw last time out.
History Against Nuno’s Visitors
Wolves, who have won three of their six league games on the road this season, have found Burnley to be a tough nut to crack over recent years, with the West Midlands outfit earning just one win against the Lancastrians in their last eight meetings.
Nuno Espirito Santo must once again do without star striker Raul Jimenez, with the forward sidelined for the foreseeable future with the fractured skull he suffered in the clash with Arsenal at the start of the month.
Both matches in the Premier League last season ended in 1-1 draws and the same scoreline to happen for a third-straight game is available at 5/1
.
In the last six meetings between these two sides, the match has ended in a draw on four occasions.
A stalemate between these teams could well be on the cards again, and a draw at Turf Moor on Monday night is on offer at 11/5
.
