Chelsea can take advantage of doomed Norwich as they look to boost their top-four hopes at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Norwich had relegation confirmed on Saturday after losing 4-0 to West Ham, although the writing had been on the wall for some time.
Chelsea were also beaten at the weekend, losing 3-0 to Sheffield United, but top-four rivals Leicester and Manchester United also failed to pick up victories.
Frank Lampard will be demanding a response on Wednesday and Norwich could feel their full wrath at Stamford Bridge.
Blues Can Bounce Back
Saturday’s defeat to the Blades came on the road and Chelsea’s form away from Stamford Bridge has been well below-par during the second half of the term, winning just twice since the turn of the year.
However, they have lost just one league game on home soil since Boxing Day and recently emerged as strong contenders for a Champions League berth.
With three games left to play, Chelsea are in pole position to claim a top-four finish but they must pick up maximum points against Norwich given their last two league games are against Liverpool and Wolves.
The Canaries have only won once away from Carrow Road this season, while they have scored just seven times, so backing a Chelsea win to nil at 20/29* looks the way to go.
Chelsea to Cruise to Victory
Chelsea have been fantastic going forward in 2019-20, especially since the Premier League returned in June, and goals are expected to be on the cards against Norwich.
They are the fourth highest scorers in the division, netting 63 times, and the sensible money would be on them enhancing that tally in west London.
Stamford Bridge has been the setting for some exciting games in recent times with over 2.5 goals scored in six of the last seven games and that can be backed at 4/11 to land again on Tuesday.
Norwich have conceded 32 goals on their travels in 2019-20 – the joint-second highest tally in the league – and those frailties are likely to be pounced upon by Chelsea.
Pulisic Primed to Bag
Christian Pulisic has been key to Chelsea’s success since returning to action last month, scoring three times to take his tally for the season to eight.
The USA international initially struggled to force his way into Lampard’s plans after making the switch from Borussia Dortmund, but his patience has paid off in the second half of the term.
Pulisic has started five of the Blues’ six Premier League games following the enforced break and his form suggests he will be in the XI for Wednesday’s engagement.
The 21-year-old played a role in the 3-2 win at Norwich earlier in the season, assisting Mason Mount, but has started to emerge as more of a talisman of late.
Backing the winger, who often likes to drift into the more central channels, to register anytime at 5/6 looks tempting.
