Heroic crushed POGGERZ on Tuesday in the opening round of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021 with 16-11 on Mirage and 16-10 on Nuke. It was a well-deserved win, but hardly something to write home about.
Dignitas faced a much tougher opponent, Team Fiend, and delivered with 16-9 on Mirage and 16-13 on Nuke. With that win, Dignitas bounced back from their 7-16 loss against K23 and improved their record to 5-3 across their last eight.
Dignitas haven’t had much success against top-10 teams of late – 8-16 against Team Vitality and 10-16 against OG – but they’ve done reasonably well against other tier-two teams. Meanwhile, Heroic have been all over with their results this month and have managed to defeat only Complexity (16-5), Endpoint (16-12), and Sinners Esports (4-2).
Both teams are struggling with their form, and while we have to trust Heroic to come out ahead, we don’t expect a one-sided affair. Therefore, a bet on over 2.5 maps at $2.05 makes the most sense.

Complexity are not what they used to be, and with the departure of Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke it seems highly unlikely that we’ll see them break into the top five anytime soon. While a strong roster paper, Complexity’s results over the last couple of months are highly concerning.

Complexity’s win against MiBR (2-1) on Tuesday marked their second W over the last eight outings and first since October 1, when they beat Endpoint (16-7). OG, meanwhile, have been gaining some serious traction, and while they’re not one of the top teams in the world yet, you have to feel confident about their chances to win this match and compete for the BLAST title.
Some may argue that Complexity have a higher ceiling, which might be true, but we have to put more weight on OG’s stability. Unless Complexity improve, there is a real possibility that they get swept on Friday.
