Last nights NAP landed after 52 mins with Dundee United and Ross County’s quality being too much for lower league opposition and we have another 5 games tonight from the Betfred Cup, all of which look like they could see goals.
League new boys Cove Rangers host Dundee at the Balmoral Staduim and I think the Aberdeen side will be a team to follow as they move into league action a week on Saturday. They will certainly give Dundee a game and are more than capable of finding the net
Cove Rangers vs Dundee (KO 7.45pm)
Paul Hartley’s Cove Rangers side may have lost their opening two Betfred cup matches but he can be please with how his side performed and competed against teams from a higher division and that certainly set them up in good stead for the league campaign.
2-1 defeats away to Forfar and Peterhead respectively tell us they are more than able to hold their own in the senior ranks and it will be interesting to see how they perform at home, albeit against much tougher opposition in Championship Dundee.
Dundee kicked off their league cup campaign in fine style with a 3-0 win away at Raith Rovers on Saturday and they are strong favourites to make it 2 wins from 2.
I fancy the Dens park side to score at least twice and Cove are more than capable on their home patch of scoring. Cove are priced as big as 16/1 and you only have to look at St Johnstone’s result at Montrose to understand that surprises do happen. That price makes a Cove Rangers to score really appealing.
Recommended Bets:
- Cove Rangers to Score
- 27/25 (Marathonbet) (NAP)
- Over 3.0 goals (Asian Line)
