There are another three Premier League matches this Sunday and two teams who will be keeping a close eye on both ends of the table, meet at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace and Everton are stuck midway between the bottom three and the top six and Sunday’s result could have a huge impact on their seasons.
Toffees out to maintain Selhurst record
Not many people would have thought Rafa Benitez would still be in charge of Everton come December 12 following the 1-4 Merseyside derby defeat at the start of the month.
But the players showed they are still playing for the manager after their comeback win over Arsenal last Monday and now they will look to build on that success with another positive result at Crystal Palace.
The Toffees are 47/20 to collect another win in the 4:30pm kick off, while Everton-Draw double chance can be backed at 20/29.
The Eagles have won many admirers this season with their style, but Patrick Vieira’s men go into this match having lost their last three Premier League games.
Even more of a concern for Vieira will be the fact that they have only scored once during that losing run. It’s also worth noting that Wilfried Zaha has only scored once in 11 previous games against Everton.
Reinvigorated Newcastle can cause more Leicester woes
The arrival of Eddie Howe on Tyneside looks to have lifted the spirits of both the Newcastle players and fans, especially after securing their first league win last weekend.
The Magpies have collected four points from three games under Howe and they will head to Leicester on Sunday feeling they are capable of a first away win.
Newcastle have a good recent record at the King Power Stadium as well, winning three of their last four visits in the league and are 18/5 to win again this time.
Howe may feel it’s a good time to play a Leicester side who were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday and have collected just one win in their last six Premier League matches.
It’s defensively where the biggest concerns will be for Brendan Rodgers, with the Foxes keeping just one clean sheet in the league this term – that was on the opening weekend of the season against Wolves.
Leicester have lost three of their seven home matches this term and can be backed at 5/7 to collect a much-needed three points.
Hammers can take advantage of injury-hit Clarets
Burnley find themselves in the bottom three, despite losing just one of their last five league games, and injuries continue to impact the Clarets.
Sean Dyche is again expected to be without Maxwel Cornet, Ben Mee and Ashley Barnes for the visit of West Ham, who are 17 points better off than the hosts and are Evens to win at Turf Moor.
David Moyes does have his own injury issues, with the Hammers without defensive trio Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Ben Johnson, but they have a stronger squad to deal with absentees.
Michail Antonio scored three times in both meetings last season and the West Ham frontman is available at 9/2 to score first.
